The floors are Southern Longleaf Pine. The boards were sliced from 9.5” x 18” x 24’ beams that weighed over 1500 lbs. each fully dried. The logs would have railed from the South to Michigan in the late 1800’s to build the building. The building was torn down in 2007 and the beams were sold to a salvage company in Houston, TX, then to a company in Louisiana. Then brokered by Scott Gideon in Flora, MS to Keith Speilman at Sonrise Flooring in Indianola, MS, then to us.
